Grand Entry Point
System will apply. Registration will close at 1:00 p.m. on
Saturday.
Dancers may register in only one (1) category.
2. Those contestants who are
drumming at the chosen
Drum or the next drum in line during Grand Entry or Spot Check may
receive
points.
3.
In each of the dance
categories, the contestants must stop on time with drums. Failure
to do so is an automatic point deduction.
4. If a contestant drops any
major item from their
outfit or regalia (armband, roach feathers, etc) they should leave the
dance
area, thus disqualifying them. If an eagle feather is dropped the
dancer will
automatically be disqualified from the competition.
5.
Contestants must,
when required by the judges, dance to both slow and fast contest songs.
6. Contestants must be
present when called into the
arena for their contest. Failure to do so will be an automatic point
deduction.
7. Contestants under the
influence of drugs or
alcohol will not be allowed to compete. They
will be disqualified from the competition and
will be asked to
leave the arena.
8. Categories will be
divided into groups at the
discretion of the judges, if there are too many contestants, in order
judge
them fairly.
9. If the judges cannot
decide a winner by one
contest song they may request another song for the contestants to
compete to.
10. The judge’s decisions are
final.
11.
Head
Staff may not compete.
12.
Prize
monies will be awarded on Sunday at the
completion of all contests. Winners must
be in full dance regalia to receive their prize money. No
Exceptions.
